Doug Polk earns YouTube Silver Play Button

A major milestone for the YouTuber, and poker itself on the platform, as Doug Polk hits 100,000 subscribers.

Last month prolific streamer Parker Talbot shared with us he felt Doug Polk could one day earn half a million views per video. It looks like he is going in that direction today with an impressive YouTube milestone. 

He has just been awarded the YouTube Silver Play Button, an accolade for reaching 100,000 subscribers. Were he to get to one million he would earn the Gold version of this award, 10 million would get him the Diamond button and 50 million the Ruby button:

Finally got my silver play button! Want to thank everyone who has joined the channel along the way. No one had ever achieved this before in poker, and we managed to do it in just under a year. I couldn't be happier with the over 350 videos produced in the last 17 months, and am looking forward to the the future as well.

Success breeds success, and since hitting that milestone he has attracted a total of 149,589 subscribers at the time of writing. His videos are regularly getting over 50,000 views each and his most popular video (below) has overtook the one million views mark. 

Perhaps most positive for poker in general is that his videos often attract people who are not serious poker players, demonstrating the potential for both Polk and poker on the platform.
