Foxen and Bicknell top GPI rankings
We recap some stories you may have missed including the great GTO debate and an AMA with a PokerStrategy.com legend.
Power Couple win everything in 2018

2018 was a tremendous year for Power Couple Alex Foxen and Kristen Bicknell. They not only crushed in general, they also won back-to-back high rollers at one festival and got heads-up in another event.
So it seems only fitting that they both took down major awards in the Global Poker Index rankings. Foxen was the overall GPI winner in 2018 with $6,632,556 in earnings and 4,095.52 points.
Bicknell was crowned Female Player of the Year with $1,095,611 in earnings and 3,071.41 points (which also saw her finish 26th in the overall rankings).
AMA with a PokerStrategy veteran

This month veteran member celebrates his 10th year at PokerStrategy and as such is hosting an AMA thread in our forum.
He started his poker career with PokerStrategy.com free poker money and has since gone on to travel the world playing high stakes cash and tournaments.
This is a rare chance to pick his brain so don't miss out, ask him a question today.
The great GTO vs exploitative debate continues
If you are a poker Twitter fan you no doubt saw the lengthy debate this week among some of the best players in the world about the merits of GTO vs exploitative play. It got so involved that Chris Kruk and Charlie Carrel ended up fighting to the death about it. Not really, they had a friendly chat on YouTube, but you get the idea:
Somerville gets on the mat
Finally, as mentioned earlier this week PokerStars and the UFC have formed a big partnership, which means we can get plenty of crossover content like this.
It's probably worth following the Stars Twitter account below because (based on the intro) it looks like we will see more of Jason Somerville in the Octagon:
You've got to know the rules before heading into any battle 🎓🥊 @ForrestGriffin discusses the basics to his willing but slightly apprehensive assistant, @JasonSomerville, ahead of #UFC232 😬 #UFCStars pic.twitter.com/f3T5PThFBm

Do you agree with there being a female only GPI category? GTO or exploitative, which is better? Let us know in the comments:
