GUKPT: PokerStrategists With Their First Cashes

Five PokerStrategists made their way to Luton to crush the local Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT). Now the first cashes have been made. Today, four of them will also enter the Main Event.

£200 NL Hold'em 1 Rebuy or Add-On

In the £200 No-Limit Hold'em tournament with one rebuy or add-on, Francesco ' BAndelfAnIE' Gitz and Moritz ' trader' Schmejkal proved their skills in Luton. Moritz
reached the final table and only had to join the rails on rank 7 –
£1,800. Francesco finished 13th and received £580. He also cashed in the £300 PL Omaha Freezeout where he finished on rank 9.

£500 NL Hold'em DC Freezeout

André 'HoRRoR' Wagner and Julian 'crazytalent' Peschel showed in the £500 No-Limit Hold'em Event why they are counted amongst the SnG- and tournament experts at PokerStrategy. Julian rolled out the best result for the community members for now with rank 5, earning about £4,000 for this feat.

André had to join the rails a bit earlier. Rank 14 and £670 for our coach who was mainly doomed by the pocket pairs. His first pair of kings managed to steal the blinds, but already his second pair had to be folded after some strong resistance:

and he donks all-in for 1.5 times the pot, and I am actually only ahead against a busted straight draw, but I am sure he had me beat and he only wanted to make it look like a busted draw, so I fold here. 🙁

His third pair of kings was busted by A-J. Short-stacked, his tens didn't hold up either which were busted by 9-4 when his opponent already hit two pairs on the flop.

Today the Main Event with four Strategists

HoRRoR, BAndelfAnIE', trader and crazytalent will start into Day 1A of the Main Event today. The buy-in is £1,000.
