Hendon Mob to add online results to player database

One of the smaller consequences of the lockdown for poker players is that it has been hard to get new flags on our Hendon Mob page, until now.

Yesterday the site announced that online tournaments that include real names will be included in the rankings. That largely means partypoker WPT events and GGPoker WSOP events.

Select partypoker events, most notably the WPT series taking place right now, use real names from the start of the tournament. The GGPoker WSOP events use screen names until the final table and real names at the final table, however all mincashers are also logged with their real name afterwards.

For those of you that have been playing and/or railing real name tables, it seems like a natural fit. It is also probably necessary when you consider The Hendon Mob pages tend to be the source we use to see if somebody has a WPT or WSOP title.

The results will not be used in Hendon Mob or Global Poker Index rankings. Screen names will not be published alongside the results for those players wanting to keep their screen name separate from their real name.

Do you like this update? Will you get a new Hendon Mob flag as a result? Let us know in the comments:
