Bonomo After His Win

In case you missed it, this week’s EPT Super High Roller event was taken down by the American Justin Bonomo.

Better known for his online play, Justin invested a total of €200,000 in the event, and walked away with €1,640,000.

Justin wasn’t the only player who exercised his right to rebuy, though. Czech player Leon Tsoukernik showed the most gamble after rebuying twice.

The high stakes balla funded his first rebuy with craps winnings, spinning up a €70,000 stake during the tournament’s break.

He soon found himself on the rail and reaching for his wallet again in order to take a final shot on Day 2. Unfortunately, things didn’t go his way and he fell short of the final table.

While the rail were applauding Justin’s winning performance, the man himself was lavishing high praise on PokerStrategist Tobias PokerNoob Reinkemeier.

After a tough heads-up battle Justin complemented the German pro, saying: “The final table in terms of skill; Tobias was my best opponent. He's a very good player.”

EireAbu Dominating in 2012

The Irish might be well known for their erratic style of poker but it’s not often that a native player tops the high stakes charts.
 
Thanks to appearance of “EireAbu” at the virtual felt that’s no longer true, as the Irish based player is currently the biggest online winner in 2012.

A storming session at the felt on Thursday catapulted the online pro to the top of the profit charts with a total haul of $1.29 million.

While he’s not always been involved in the biggest pots, his consistent results have seen him edge ahead of the year’s second biggest winner, “Bernard-bb” who has collected $1,270,030.
 
Also running well in 2012 are: Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky ($1,202,580), PokerStrategist Jens jenskyllonen Kyllonen ($1,154,544) and Ben “Ben86” Tollerene ($1,123,469).

At the other end of the spectrum “Zypherin”, who many suspect is billionaire amateur Guy Laliberte, has dropped $1,749,241. This is almost $1 million more than the year’s second biggest loser “1Il|1Il|1il|” who is down $766,003.
