Instagram saves Dan Bilzerian from jail
The easy life continues for the poker playboy as his social media following (and most likely his money) appears to have spared him time in jail.

It looked like the party was over for Instagram playboy Dan Bilzerian at the end of last year. In the same week a video surfaced of him allegedly kicking a woman in the face, he was also arrested for explosives charges.
However, last week it was revealed he has escaped jail time for setting off explosives outside a shooting range, along with his friend Jeremy Guymon.
The jail term could have been as much as 12 years, but instead he escaped with costs of $17,231.50 and pleaded guilty to negligently failing to extinguish a fire.
Instagram could have saved him

Ironically the Instagram account which first alerted authorities to his fondness of guns and explosives, could have been the very thing that saved him from jail time.
As part of his deal, he now will be using his account, which has over 6 million followers, to make a Public Service Announcement for the Federal Bureau of Land Management, warning others against what he did.
As well as escaping jail time, Bilzerian has not had any firearms restrictions imposed on him, so his antics with guns will still likely be a staple part of his social media presence.
Did his money buy his freedom? Is it fair that his large social media following may be the thing that saved him? Let us know your views in the comments.
