Jason Clarke wins a Main Event seat for life

A Real Estate Agent from Canada gets a $10,000 Main Event seat for the next 30 years after a raffle of the 10,043 entrants this year.

Busting the Main Event is never fun but this year the players had an extra sweat after they were eliminated. To celebrate a record-breaking 10,043 entries in this year's Main Event, one entrant drawn at random would win a $10,000 Main Event seat for 30 years. 

It took a while for the announcement because the 'Main Event for Life' winner had to be contacted ahead of time to get them to accept their award in person, and Jason Clarke of Toronto, Canada, had already flown back home, 

“I actually missed the first phone call about me winning,” said Clarke. “Although I was skeptical, I decided to call back and to my surprise, I found out I won. I’m thrilled to have this opportunity and I am excited to see what the next 30 years has in store.”

At 42 years old the Real Estate Agent could easily make use of all 30 of his upcoming Main Event tickets. Amazingly this was his first time playing the Main Event, which he didn't cash in, after 15 years of playing at the WSOP.
