Jason Somerville signs 2 year partnership with Twitch
In an exciting day for fans of poker streaming, Phil Hellmuth also makes a Twitch related announcement via social media.
Jason 'jcarverpoker' Somerville has brought music to the ears of poker and Twitch fans alike by announcing via social media that he'll be returning to the streaming platform next Sunday (August 16).
Somerville's "Run It Up" poker-themed stream captured the hearts and minds of millions around the world in its first PokerStars sponsored season earlier this year, with the WSOP bracelet winner somehow managing to perform in front of audiences reaching 15,000 for 78 consecutive days.
In total, Somerville's channel was viewed over 7 million times by 3 million different people from March-May 2015 and amassed six-figures in followers.
Highlights of the streaming marathon included deep runs in both the $215 Sunday Warm Up and $1K Thursday Thrill, a record breaking $1K Super Tuesday final table, a banquet of crazy mid-stakes 5-card PLO action, and a wide variety of Home Games giving viewers the chance to compete with the widely adored host.
Those three months in isolation may have left him slightly burnt out for this year's WSOP, but after a summer of real life interaction Somerville's ready to return to his beloved dirty basement, and you can rest assured he'll be camping there on a regular basis for some time to come:
