Kevin Martin signs up for Canadian Big Brother

Popular streamer and Team PokerStars Pro Online member Martin re-enters the house for a second stint on the Canadian reality TV show.

Canadian Twitch host and Team PokerStars Pro Online team member Kevin Martin has agreed to enter the Big Brother house for a second time.

A former radio show host, Martin's broadcasting experience has seen him build his Twitch stream into one of the most viewed channels among the poker community with 50,000 followers.

His stint this year, in the show’s fifth season, will be his second appearance on the programme following his 49-day run in the show's third season when he was the victim of a surprise eviction despite never receiving a vote against him.

The 24-year-old recently took down the $109 Monday 6-Max for $7,500, and will be hoping to do equally well in his latest attempt at reality TV and make it all the way to the final where a $100,000 cash prize, $30,000 gift card and a 2017 Toyota ’86 sports car await the winner.

In the same year as his first stay in the Big Brother house, its US equivalent hosted another one time PokerStars Team Pro, Vanessa Rousso, who came third that year and has since been voted the greatest Big Brother contestant of all time.

To honour the latest occasion, PokerStars will host special online tournaments named after the player who used to play as GarlicXToast but now plays online under KevinMartin987, also his broadcasting persona.
