LAPT Punta del Este: Hevroy Grabs The Title
A young Norwegian, Karl Hevroy fought his way through a field of 326 players and eventually dominated the heads-up match for the title against Alejandro De Arruabarrena. This was the first ever LAPT event with a $1 million prize pool. The next stop is in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

Karl Hevroy managed to outlast a field of 326 players. He dominated the
final table and entered the heads-up play against Alejandro De
Arruabarrena with a 6 to 1 chip lead. On the very first hand, Hevroy
took down his last opponent with nines full of eights and grabbed the
title, along with the $283,500 grand prize.
Hevroy, a 20 years old Norwegian, commented his victory:
"I'm so happy, I don't feel like I know anything. It's so
sick...I had a few moments where I was in danger, and then I luckboxed
my way out of it."
The LAPT will make its next stop in Mar del Plata, Argentina, from
