Loose Leon wins slots jackpot
In a flagrant example of the rich getting richer, King's Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik won the €1,372,500 jackpot on a slot machine at the Casino Seefeld in Austria.
He was playing in the High Roller tournament taking place during the CAPT festival there and while he did not cash in that event, he turned a €1,000 spin into a seven-figure score.
While the rest of us mere mortals can dream about such a big score, not doubt the regulars in his nosebleed PLO games are already licking their lips in anticipation of his return.

Spain & Ireland consider credit card ban

After yesterday's news that the UK would no longer accept credit card deposits onto gambling sites, Spain and Ireland could soon follow them.
In Spain the consumer rights group FACUA have called for the Spanish Government to do the same thing. Meanwhile reports in the Irish media suggest that Problem Gambling Ireland are also asking Ireland to follow in the UK's footsteps.
Industry experts have suggested that credit card transactions make up less than 2% of deposits at major operators like Flutter Entertainment, however 22% of gamblers who use credit cards are problem gamblers.
