Liv Boeree & Igor Kugranov win Tag Team Bracelets
The lovebirds take down their first career bracelets and donate half their winnings to charity.
The first open event of the World Series of Poker has just concluded with Poker's Power Couple taking down top honours.
Team Negreanu went into the final table with the chip lead but it was EPT San Remo champion Liv Boeree and her partner, High Roller, Igor ' Kurganov who prevailed and won the $273,964 first prize.
Both of them are founders of REG Charity and it is no surprise to learn they have already pledged 50% of their winnings to the cause.
Speaking after the event Kurganov expressed what meant the most to him about the win:
The money is nice, but for me it's winning the bracelets together that matters the most when comparing the ratio of people that are happy from the cash to having the hardware.
