METZMAGNY Wins Sunday Million

This week's edition of the PokerStars Sunday Million had METZMAGNY as winner, who took the first place trophy along with $147,822.

PokerStars' Sunday Million, arguably the most important weekly
tournament in the online poker world, saw the French player METZMAGNY
getting his hands on this week's trophy and receiving $147,822 for his
accomplishment.

7,836 players joined the Sunday Million this weekend, all eager to get
at least a part of the $1,567,200 total prize pool, while $632,523 of
this total sum were split between the final 9.

The final table had METZMAGNY, ldgii, h2oace, jiacstrap, Stammdogg,
dray313, Papatri, aaaaaaaa and tickkid battling it out for the
six-digit prize. After the remaining four were settled (as Stammdogg
hit the rail in fifth place), they decided to leave a part of the money out just for
the winner: METZMAGNY, idgii, h20ace and jiacstrap agreed that $30,000
should be left on the line for the first place finisher.

4 players became 2 and these two were METZMAGNY and ldgii, with
METZMAGNY entering the heads-up phase having a 2:1 chip advantage. This
chip advantage proved to be quite decisive and he claimed both the
first place prize and the extra $30,000.
