Martin Kabrhel wins fifth WSOP bracelet in Rozvadov at WSOP Europe

The controversial Czech Republic player bagged gold for the fifth time last night in winning the €10,000 Pot Limit Omaha bracelet for €251,000 including bounties.

The Czech Republic’s most famous poker player tasted glory again last night as Martin Kabrhel took down the 10th event of the 2025 WSOP Europe series, the €10,000-entry Pot Limit Omaha event. Beating British hopeful Robert Cowan heads-up, Kabrhel won his fifth WSOP bracelet, just a few months after winning his fourth in the $1,000-entry No-Limit Hold‘em Mini Main Event in Las Vegas for $843,140.

Kabrhel didn’t start the final table in charge, with the Bulgarian Krasimir Yankov, whose bounty knockouts were only dwarfed by those of Cowen and Kabrhel, the biggest influence on the early action. A big three-way all-in saw Bouwe Claushius taken out when Kabrhel flopped a full house, severely damaging Yankov’s stack in the process.

Once the final duel was reached, Kabrhel held a dominant 10:1 chip lead. Cowen doubled not once but twice, then ran a big hand into an even bigger one, flopping the top pair of an ace, but losing out to Kabrhel’s straight draw when it came in on the river. The win for over a quarter of a million euros puts Kabrhel inside the top 100 live tournament poker players in history on over $16 million.

“I got super lucky today, so I'm very happy,” Kabrhel told PokerNews after the result. “I prefer Hold'em, in Omaha anything can happen, and you have to run amazing to win. It's nice to win a bracelet in a different variant, but I don't think it makes it any more or less special. Any tournament you win is special.”

Asked about the WSOP heads-up match specifically, Kabrhel couldn’t help but admit that PLO is not the game he feels most at home in.

“I would have been a lot more confident in Hold‘em, in Omaha even with this heads-up spot he could double-up a few times and be back in it, so really happy to get it done."
