Mike McDonald Becomes Full Tilt Pro

Mike "timex" McDonald (pictured right) is a young player from Canada with an
already highly successful tournament poker career. He finished in fifth
place in the recent €5,000 buy-in EPT Dortmund
event which earned him $249,000.

He won the tournament in 2008 after
defeating Andreas Gulunay in a heads-up match, a feat which earned him
over $1.3 million.

He also took part in the AUD $2,000 buy-in NL
Hold'em Tournament held during the Aussie Millions in Melbourne this
year, collecting AUD $10,000 for finishing in eight place.

McDonald is not 21 years old, which means he cannot play in the
upcoming World Series of Poker and due to his age, he is primarily focused
on playing outside the USA.

From now on, McDonald will receive a special designation in future
videos made on Full Tilt Poker and he could potentially have a target
on his back. McDonald commented on that:

"I don't necessarily mind that. I'm pretty good at reacting to different dynamics and I doubt it will take long to adjust."

With or without a target on his back, McDonald has become one of the
hottest Red Pros on the team's roster even though his career has just
begun. Other Full Tilt Poker Pros include likes of Allen Cunningham, John
Juanda, Erik Seidel, Chris Ferguson and Howard Lederer.

Since he will now be part of a team full of poker celebrities, the pressure to perform well has certainly increased and joining this impressive roster was something McDonald wasn't really prepared for: “I definitely didn't expect it, especially pre-Dortmund. After that, I thought it was a reasonable possibility one day.”
