Mike Postle makes a final table playing under an alias
The pariah of the poker world was outed, then slowrolled, at a big final table playing in disguise with a false name.
The first bonkers story of 2023 is the return of Mike Postle. The man at the centre of the biggest cheating scandal the game has ever seen attempted to fly under the radar at the Beau Rivage Million Dollar Heater Main Event.
Wearing a mask, hoodie and glasses, and going by the name Michael Lawrence (his middle name apparently) he was unable to go undetected amongst a poker community that dissected his every move in 2019:

The first prize was $208,400. Postle busted in seventh place for $32,703, an amount which Veronica Brill was quick to point out eclipsed the legal fees that Postle owes her in her anti-SLAPP lawsuit judgement by a huge margin.
In a small moment of redemption for the poker community, Postle's exit hand ended in a slowroll, complete with heckling from the rail:

It will be interesting to see if we see Postle again at the tables. Perhaps the more pressing question is, because of the fact that masks are still widespread since the pandemic, has he actually been playing all the time and we just didn't know about it?
