Neymar spotted playing at PokerStars

We round-up some stories you may have missed including cheating confirmed on the Winning Poker Network and a poker player on reality TV.

Neymar plays the Sunday Million

He may not be sponsored by them anymore but Neymar Jnr was spotted playing at PokerStars last weekend, once again confirming he is the real deal as a poker fan. 

He is currently resting after foot surgery and posted the picture of him below playing in the Sunday Million on Instagram. He actually cashed in it for $559.71 which is presumably like Play Money for him given he is estimated to have made almost €37 million last year:

Cheating confirmed at WPN

We recently brought you the news of the growing accusations of cheating at the Winning Poker Network, spearheaded by player-turned-podcaster-turned-investigator Joe Ingram. 

Players have now confirmed that they have started to receive refunds from the network, with emails like this being sent out:

"The Winning Poker Network Game Integrity Department has investigated and recently uncovered unfair gameplay practices carried out by a player on the WPN that breached our terms and conditions. While we cannot publicly disclose the name, specific activity, or account associated with this offense, we have closed access to this player's account.

Ziigmund on Survivor

He may not be a regular fixture at the nosebleed tables anymore but Ilari 'Ziigmund' Sahamies is still a genuine celebrity in Finland and he has just been seen on their version of Survivor. 

The celebrity version of the show is still taking place but you can catch up here assuming you can speak Finnish (no subtitles). 

Also on the show is former Miss Finland Sara Chafak who poker players will know for that infamous hand on the Shark Cage.
