2016 November Niner Vojtech 'VojtaR' Ruzicka landed the £10,300 High Roller this week during the partypokerLIVE MILLIONS at the Dusk Till Dawn club in Nottingham.

The event ran into a third day as the Czech player, now 2nd in the Czech all-time money list, finally came out on top after a 15-hours long game that boiled down from 110 players to a heads-up battle with Bartlomiej "Bartek" Machon.

The extra day had been added to the schedule as numerous players of note proved themselves hard to shake off; Govert Metaal, Stefan Schillhabel, Laszlo Bujtas, Jason Wheeler and Joao Simao, all cashed here. With play stopping at 4am, the remaining players regrouped the following day with Ruzicka and Machon in charge of the two biggest stacks.

As soon as the table had found its final two, an ICM deal was made leaving the trophy and £50,000 to be played for as well as an agreement to shorten the levels to 20 minutes.

Over the next two and a half hours, advantage shifted both ways before Ruzicka finally got the decisive cards needed to put the game to bed and walk away with the trophy plus $363,135 that contributes to his live career earnings of $3,218,101 as well as the kind of reputation that comes with making the World Series of Poker Main Event final table.

Ruzicka said;

“It feels great! After the November Nine, I played a lot of High Rollers and Super High Rollers and basically didn’t cash in anything. I cashed one small tournament in Rozvadov, but this feels really good. I can’t complain after reaching my first ever November Nine. I could live with it. But that feeling when everything goes well and you’re winning hands, every time you need to you hit your set, it’s a great feeling”.
