Pads wins Venetian Series event
A six-figure score and his second PGT ranked title of 2025 for Patrick Leonard, which should see him break into the top 5.
Former PokerStrategy staff member and current CoinPoker Pro Patrick 'Pads' Leonard ended the summer in style with a win at the Venetian.
737 players entered the $1,600 event in the Venetian DeepStack Championship series, and Pads took it down for $164,108.
He didn't have it easy, however, and things got a bit tetchy when a dispute about player obligations when counting and showing their stacks brewed up on the live stream:

Pads has somewhat reinvented himself this year, playing mostly PGT ranking events in Las Vegas. This is his second title in 2025 won in Las Vegas and his second PGT scoring title of the year.
Our estimations suggest that this win will take him up to 4th place in the PGT Leaderboard, just behind Michael Mizrachi, Alex Foxen and Sam Soverel.
