Phil Hellmuth wins 15th WSOP bracelet

Love him or hate him, there is no ignoring the Poker Brat at the World Series of Poker.

The Hellmuth stock was very low at the start of the week after a now infamous incident where him talking out of turn got a player eliminated, inciting the wrath of the poker community. But Phil Hellmuth has just done what Phil Hellmuth does best.

He just won his 15th career WSOP bracelet, defeating 451 other players in the $5,000 No Limit (30 minute levels) event for $485,082.

The whole thing was captured on Twitch last night with a peak of 13,026 viewers, ironically the free offering from Poker Central probably didn't help the PokerGO coverage of the Main Event which is playing down to a final table right now:

When he is not taking part on silly antics, Phil Hellmuth is defined by his bracelet success. With 15 he is now way ahead of his nearest rival Phil Ivey, who has 10. It's been a tough year for the Hellmuth brand, it appears his angry outbursts are no longer being deemed as good PR for the game anymore, but with this win it is a reminder that there is more to him that gimmicks and 'Brat' behaviour.
