Ivey was spotted playing high stakes cash games at the Bellagio leading to speculation that he may play in this year’s WSOP Main Event.

Gus Hansen has published photos of 10-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Ivey showing the pro playing high stakes cash games in Bobby’s Room this week.

Ivey was rumoured to be making a WSOP appearance this year but has been largely invisible in Vegas for a while now, not being a regular since the days of his bracelet bets, although he did sign up for the Main Event last year only to exit in Level 10.

And, although he didn’t take part in the $111,111 One Drop, which was won by Doug Polk, Ivey’s appearance at the Bellagio suggests he may be likely to stick around for the main event and/or the 50k Player's Championship

Ivey himself has remained offline when it comes to his social media channels, save for some sporting tweets posted last in September the last of which was about Usain Bolt, who in unrelated news, was last week named as a PokerStars ambassador.

Despite his silence, Ivey’s Bellagio appearances has created a buzz excited to see the potential return of a player who, with over $23 million in winnings, still ranks fifth in the All Time Money List.

Is he is still the most feared player in the world? Let us know in the comments.
