PokerStars has just announced that the first annual PokerStars Baltic Festival will be held from 28th-31st October in Talinn, Estonia. The luxurious Swissotel Conference Center will play host to the festivities this year.
The buy-in for the four-day Main Event is set at €1,100 and the organizers are confident that the total prize pool will easily breach six figures. Other side events are also planned and the detailed information on those events will be made available soon.
Satellite buy-ins start at $2.20
In the run up to this event, PokerStars will also be hosting a series of satellites tournaments for players who wish to qualify online. The buy-in for the satellites start at just $2.20 and freeroll satellites will also be available.
“PokerStars has hundreds of thousands of poker players from the Nordic countries, the Baltic States, and Russia, but so far there have only been a few interesting live tournaments,” said Tomas Larsson, PokerStars Country Manager for Finland and the Baltic.
He added that it is PokerStars' aim to provide a live tournament experience in Tallinn that rivals those of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas and the European Poker Tour Grand Final in Monte Carlo.
“I am convinced that the PokerStars Baltic Festival will attract players not only from neighboring countries, but from all over Europe, including a number of Team PokerStars Pro members and some of the region’s top players,” said Larsson.
