PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge: Third Episode Coming Up

The PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge show will proceed on this Sunday with new contestants who will have a tough task ahead of them - defeating in heads-up one celebrity, one Team PokerStars pro and finally, Daniel Negreanu.

The third episode of the FOX poker show PokerStars Million Dollar Challenge is coming up on this Sunday, November 22.

The previous episode saw sergeant Denny Luna taking down Chris Moneymaker to scoop $25,000 before deciding to quit, meanwhile Tracy Nguyen couldn't defeat Barry Greenstein and had to settle for the PokerStars Carribean Adventure trip prize.

The contestants on the show have Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu giving them advices on their way through the first and second round (in which they play against a Team PokerStars pro), however, Negreanu no longer offers them help in the third round, as the contestants have to play against him to progress further in the Million Dollar Challenge.

Three more episodes before the Table of Champions

Contestants earn prizes for each round they successfully pass. In the first round, the prize is a package to the 2010 PokerStars Carribean Adventure in the Bahamas. The second round has $25,000 up for grabs which the contestant can either choose to walk away with or risk losing it by proceeding to the third round where he or she has to face Negreanu (pictured right).

If a contestant wins in the third round, he or she receives $100,000 along with a seat at the Table of Champions which will once again feature Negreanu. The $1 million prize awaits whoever manages to defeat Negreanu for the second time.

The show also has a charitable aspect, as the celebrity guests will donate $5,000 to the charity of their choice should they prevail. Meanwhile Negreanu and other Team PokerStars Pros will donate $10,000 for charity should they come out victorious. While the upcoming episode is scheduled for November 22, there will be two more episodes on December 13 and December 27.
