PokerStars NAPT Mohegan Sun Attracts Big Names
The second stop of the PokerStars North American Poker Tour gathered a total of 716 players, including the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey and Tom "durrrr" Dwan.
The North American Poker Tour sponsored by PokerStars kicked off at the Mohegan Sun on Wednesday, with 716 participants registering for the $5,000 main event.
The structure of this tournament will see the top 104 finishers getting a piece of the prize pool. Overall, $3,264,244 are at stake, and the champion will be awarded with $750,000.
Negreanu and Ivey still in
Well-known poker faces were seen taking part in the first day of this event, including Daniel Negreanu Barry Greenstein, Phil Ivey, Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Joe Cada, and more. Not all of them made it to Day 2, but we will still see Ivey (57,100) and Negreanu (33,600) at the tables.
David Williams is the chip leader (230,900) at the end of Day 1. The next day will see 464 players making their return for more action, when the blinds will start at 500/1,000 and 100 ante.
