Starting with October 1, PokerStars has made several improvements to its VIP program to better reward the loyal players. VIP reward bonuses are now paid instantly and the VPP earn rates at the micro stakes have also been bumped up.

After taking into consideration feedback from its players, PokerStars will be implementing two major changes to its VIP Program from October 1 onwards.

With these changes. players at the Supernova level who are eligible to purchase the VIP reward bonuses will now get their bonus instantly. Meanwhile, micro stakes players will be able to earn VPPs at a faster rate, allowing them easier access to the added benefits of the higher VIP levels.

Instant cash credit for VIP reward bonuses

All VIP rewards bonuses purchased from the PokerStars VIP store will now reward players with an instant cash credit. Prior to the latest changes, players had to earn 7 times the dollar value of the bonus to clear it, but not anymore, as all play through requirements have been removed from these bonuses.

Faster VPP earn rates at the micros

In line with the success of its MicroMania promotion in July, PokerStars has decided to introduce higher multipliers for VPPs earned in the micro stakes games. These improved earn rates will be in place at least until December 31, 2010:

• $0.01 / $0.02 - 12x
• $0.02 / $0.05 - 10x
• $0.05 / $0.10 - 8x

Note: The normal VPP earn rate is 6x for tables with 8+ players, and 5.5x otherwise.
