PokerStars launch 6 Card PLO

You can now play PLO in the 4, 5 and 6 card version of the game at PokerStars with stakes starting at $0.05/$0.10.

As we speculated last month, PokerStars quietly added 6 Card PLO to it's lobby last week.

This is the first time they have offered the format, although Full Tilt did previously host it shortly after Black Friday and before PokerStars acquired them. PokerStars already offered 5 Card PLO and Courchevel as part of their standard PLO tab in the lobby.

Unlike most newly introduced formats there was no big announcement nor a special tab in the PokerStars lobby. It is available at stakes $0.05/$0.10 all the way to $50/$100

The format plays exactly like four and five card PLO, just with six hole cards. You still have to make a five card poker hand with exactly two hole cards and three community cards. The only other notable difference is that you can never have a table of more than seven players because there are not enough cards in the deck for full ring.

It is currently available in .com and .EU, although at the time of writing it is not available in Russia or the UK.
