PokerStars to decrease decision making time
From July 31, players will have less time to make their decisions in a bid to combat frustratingly slow play.
PokerStars is to introduce their latest Time to Act settings from the end of the month in an effort to speed up the unnecessarily long time some players take to make decisions, however intentional.
Currently, players are allowed 18 seconds to make their move pre-flop, not against a raise, while 25 seconds are allowed for making a decision pre-flop facing a raise and also post-flop.
Chipping six seconds off the pre-flop/raise allotted time, 12 seconds will now be the maximum time allowed to move and 15 for pre-flops facing a raise and post-flops. Once the Time to Act period has expired, as yet unchanged Timebank settings will apply.

The new move takes effect as a trial on July 31 and will be implemented on $0.01/0.02 No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha games.
For now, PokerStars’ Zoom games remain unchanged.
