Remi Castaignon Wins EPT Deauville
Frenchman Remi Castaignon has cruised to victory in the EPT Deauville main event for €770,000.

Last week the Aussie Millions main event final table lasted for so long that it had to be extended by another day.
That was not going to be a problem today in Deauville.
Remi Castaignon of France went into the final table with one of the biggest chip leads ever at an EPT, holding over 40% of the chips in play and nearly three times that of his nearest rival.
With most of the remaining finalists holding 20 big blinds or less, the action was suitably fast. So fast in fact that Jeffrey Hakim was eliminated on the very first hand when he ran his Ace-King into the Aces of Enrico Rudelitz.
From that point on for the most part it was plain sailing for Castaignon, going all the way into his heads-up match with Walid Bou Habib, who started the final table second in chips.
That lasted longer, relatively, than expected, but Castaignon was never in trouble and always held a comfortable lead over his opponent, right up until the point where his 
held up against the 
of Habib.
This was the first live cash of Remi Castaignon's career, taking down €770,000 and making it look easy in the process.
