Sk8Surf wins $1,825.44!

The 30 years old Canadian finished 3rd in a $10 tournament on PokerStars. In this interview you can find out more about him and his success.

PokerStrategy: Congratulations Sk8Surf for finishing 3rd in the
tournament on PokerStars! You won $1,825.44! Could you please introduce
yourself?
Sk8Surf: My name is Jason Lehoux/Sk8Surf. I'm from
Ontario/Canada (originally from Vancouver Canada). I'm 30 years old and have been
playing poker for about 2.5 years now.

PokerStrategy: How long have you been a member of PokerStrategy?
Sk8Surf: I've been a member of PokerStrategy for about 1.5 months.

PokerStrategy: What kind of tournament did you play? How does it feel to win this huge amount of money?
Sk8Surf: The tourney was a No limit Hold'em $10+1 buyin. Whow, it feels great after all my hard work and all the bad beats. If you keep trying too make your game better and learning
new things, this can happen to anyone. Just try to play
your best game!

PokerStrategy: How did you do throughout the tournament. Can you describe some decisive hands?
Sk8Surf: Well throughout the tourney I started really strong playing
tight getting great hands with bad calls. Then about mid way
through the tourney I was card dead for about 30-40 mins, played the few
playable hands I got and didn't move up much in chips. So I sat and waited
for the right hands to come. Got up to about 90,000 in chips and
then went down to 10,000 in 3 hands with blinds 500/1000. I was in
bad shape and knew if I didn't take a few risks I'ld be out even though I
was in the money at this point. I noticed that the new table I was at
was very tight. So I bet out with preflop. Not that great of
a hand but being with table so tight I had to move on them for the ante
and the blinds. Got called by one player and Q flopped, I bet out big, player folded. 2 more hands like that and I was at 60k again. I would say The most decisive hand that I got was in the BB. 13 players were left and I had around 300,000 chips at this point. 2
players in front of me bet and reraise allin. They both called, one guy holding and the other guy holding a hand which was so bad that I didn't even
think about it. I took down a huge pot of 900,000+ and tehre were 2 players left to the final table.

PokerStrategy: What were your thoughts and plans when you reached the final table?
Sk8Surf: Hmm thoughts and plans. I just tried too play my best game. The final table was out of control at that point and I had just under a million
in chips (3rd place at that point). I didn't have to really make too many moves because the
other players that were low stacked pushed around. I just waited for good hands and watched the money go up by like few hundred bucks per player that
went out. Down to the last 3 I didn't get any cards.

PokerStrategy: Could you please describe the final hand?
Sk8Surf: Last hand was my vs. . I was low stacked at this point and I knew for sure that he
had junk and I couldn't fold. I needed chips because the other 2 players had over 2 milion and I didn't get any cards.
