Roundhouse from Veldhuis sends ElkY to poorhouse
The long anticipated contest has been and gone; Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and Lex "RasZi" Veldhuis finally squared off yesterday in front of adoring fans to establish who was the meanest, baddest Team PokerStars Pro on the block.
Unfortunately for "ElkY", the guitar riff from Iron Maiden's entrance song was the highlight of his performance as Veldhuis peppered the Frenchman with a flurry of kicks and punches, ending the fight in round two to the delight of his Dutch fanbase.
So after 2 years of waiting, it’s official; "ElkY" should stick to winning poker tournaments.

It’s day 3 of the PokerStrategy.com TV World Championship and today we look forward to heats 4 and 5.
Yesterday PokerStrategy.com staff reporter biggie1982 came out on top in the so called "table of death" to take down heat 2 and German former PokerStrategy.com coach swapshop prevailed to win heat 3.

WPT Jacksonville
The 6 handed final table at WPT Jacksonville concluded last night and when all was said and done it was Anthony "Boston Tony" Ruberto who picked up the title and winner's cheque for $325,928.

High stakes corner
Yesterday produced some of the most volatile high stakes PLO action we've seen in a long time.
The PokerStars $200/$400 PLO tables were the setting for this particular bloodbath as "GARFIELD25" and Rui "PepperoniF" Cao were taken apart by the likes of "Fake Love888", "Ilari FIN" and "doncarignano".
The three aforementioned players won over $1 million between them on the day, with "Fake Love888" the top winner having banked a mouthwatering $418,229.
For "GARFIELD25" it was a day to forget as he dropped $517,338 in just 814 hands according to HSDB.
Newsflash: Phil Ivey plays tournament
The PokerStars APPT Macau kicked off earlier today and drew an impressive number of entrants for day 1a.
269 players parted with HK$30,000 for the eagerly awaited main event, but the headlines are all about one man.
The enigmatic Phil Ivey is playing his first live tournament since the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star in March of this year, and sits with 51200 chips after day 1.
PokerStrategist Jacksonchenny8888Zheng had a fine start and sits close to the top with 97,300 chips despite being sat with Ivey. We'll be back with more APPT and Ivey news tomorrow…
