The ECOOP II starts in nine days
In nine days, on May 23rd, the second edition of the European Championship of Online Poker begins. During ten days a guaranteed combined prize pool of $3.6 million will be paid out.
In December last year, the ECOOP had its premiere and enticed over 8,500 players to the tourney tables in its first edition. The guaranteed prize money amounted to $2.5 million.
The ECOOP II adds another $1.1 million on top. Highlight will be the Main Event on Sunday, June 1st, with a buy-in of $1,000 + $60. The guaranteed prize pool was increased by half a million, to $1,500,000; despite the fact that the Main Event of the ECOOP I had a small overlay.
Furthermore, the best 100 players (ranked on the ECOOP II Leaderboard) receive a ticket to the ECOOP MVP Freeroll with a prize pool of $50,000.
