The PGT Heads-up Showdown bracket revealed

The new format heads-up series from PokerGO starts today and will feature, among others, Alex Foxen and Ali Imsirovic.

Starting today PokerGO will host their first ever heads-up tournament, the PGT Heads-Up Showdown. 32 players will buy-in for $25,000 and fight for a first prize of $400,000.

The tournament was open to the leaders of the 2022 PokerGO Tour leaderboard and special invited guests. It will be broadcast on PokerGO from today until Saturday, but Day 1 will also be broadcast for free on YouTube.

Lots of big names contending this event including Phil Galfond, Phil Hellmuth, Erik Seidel, Daniel Negreanu, Shaun Deeb and Alex Foxen. One fun 'wildcard' style addition is amateur player Nicholas Rigby who made quite a name for himself with his aggressive style in the WSOP Main Event. 

All eyes, however, will likely be on Ali Imsirovic who faces Jake Daniels in Round 1. Imsirovic is currently embroiled in a scandal involving many accusations of cheating from the poker community, most notably from Alex Foxen, who is also playing this event. Imsirovic has not denied the allegations yet publicly but may be forced to if he has a deep run in this high profile media event. There would be fireworks like nothing we have seen before if Foxen and Imsirovic met in the semi final.
