The WSOP will not be at the Rio next year
It looks like 2022 will see the biggest festival in poker move to Bally's Hotel & Casino as well as possibly Paris Las Vegas.
This year's World Series of Poker will always be memorable because it starts in September rather than the Summer, but it might also be notable for another reason.
It will be the last WSOP to be held at the Rio. This has been rumoured for years but it looks like it will finally be moving elsewhere.
The news was leaked by an 8-ball pool association of all things, who posted that Bally's Hotel & Casino would be the new home of the WSOP after that meant their own event had to find a new home.

Possible partnership with Paris Las Vegas?
Bally's Hotel & Casino is also a Caesars property and has 175,000 square feet, as well as an additional 140,000 square feet at its neighbour and partner Paris Las Vegas.

The World Series of Poker has been at the Rio since 2005, prior to that its home was in Binion's Horseshoe Casino.
