Toby Lewis wins largest ever Aussie Millions

The EPT champion takes down a record breaking event in Melbourne for seven-figures.

Despite the fact that the online game is currently banned in Australia, 800 players turned out to make this year's Aussie Millions the biggest one ever. 

The eventual victor being a very familiar name on the poker circuit, British pro and EPT Vilamoura champion Toby Lewis. 

The official first prize was A$1.8 million but after a three-way deal (Based on chip stacks leaving $75,000 to play for) he took A$1,458,198, while Stefan Huber came 2nd for A$909,699 and third place finisher Espen Solaas actually took more than that, claiming A$1,177,103. 

Speaking after the match Lewis explained why this match was not much pressure compared to others he has been involved in:

It's probably the least amount I've ever felt heading into a major final table. I've been working really hard on my game lately, more than ever. I just felt really comfortable. I had an understanding of the players I was playing against. I tried to stay off social media as much as possible and tried not to hype myself up too much."

While that wraps it up for the Main Event, the $100,000 Challenge has reached a final table after a mere 16 entrants. That will be played out to a winner today.
