Two new formats coming to PokerStars

They look poised to hit the client this year but we are clueless about what Tempest Hold'em and Deep Water Hold'em could play like.

When one format leaves (as Power Up is poised to do) another one usually is announced and it looks like two new formats are coming to PokerStars. 

As always pokerfuse beat everyone to the punch when the latest software update dropped and spotted the next two likely games coming to the PokerStars client. 

Deep Water Hold'em and Tempest Hold'em both look like they will be hitting the client in 2019, though what their format will be remains unclear. 

The only clue what either format could be about has come from a PokerStars spokesperson who has hinted that deep play could be involved, probably in Deep Water Hold'em. Unlike previous new PokerStars formats, both are pretty vague names that don't really give a hint at what to expect. Unlike previous novelty formats Split Hold'em, Showtime Hold'em and Unfold, all of which gave a huge clue in their name as to how the game was played. 

pokerfuse have speculated that both games could be linked, maybe with players starting at what type of table then joining another. 

Deep Water Hold'em had previously been teased back in April but now looks likely to hit the client this year. Tempest Hold'em is completely new to the latest software update. As is usual these are expected to be short term novelty formats, there is no guarantee they will stay permanently.
