Over on the Emerald Isle, our friends at paddypowerpoker hosted their annual Irish Winter Festival. 385 players entered the €1,000 Main Event, which concluded last night.
The eventual winner was Tim Hartmann, who defeated Patryk Pietnoczko heads-up for the title and a first prize of €100,000.
Pietnoczko, who picked up €56,500 for his second-place finish, was also one of six players who won a special paddypowerpoker promotion, "Six Survivor", which means that he has also won a free entry into next year's Irish Open main event.
Another notable name at the final table was UK circuit legend Julian Thew, who finished in 4th place for €28,350.

Last week the famous Vic in London hosted a festival exclusively for fans of Pot-Limit Omaha.
Like most attempts to put on an Omaha festival, the attendance was quite low, with just 29 players contesting the £500+£50 event.
The eventual champion was Xunen Zheng, who pocketed £5,800 and the title. Zheng entered the event using sponsorship dollars from a Hendon Mob forum promotion.
Double Deepstack Weekend at Dusk Till Dawn

This time they have changed the schedule slightly. Not only is the £100,000 guaranteed £500+£60 re-entry Main Event back between November 2-4, they are also hosting a £30,000 guaranteed £150+£18 re-entry event alongside it.
That means both high stakes and mid stakes tournament players are catered for at the home of UK poker this weekend.
