WSOP 2010: 17 PokerStrategists Advance From Day 1B
Of the 21 PokerStrategists who entered Day 1B of the WSOP 2010 Main Event, FA_Morgoth was the PokerStrategist who finished the day with the highest chip count. He ended the day with 95,000 chips.
The WSOP Main Event continued on Wednesday with the second of its four starting days. Day 1B saw another 1,489 players paying the $10,000 buy-in, each of them hoping for a shot at changing their lives by winning the much coveted WSOP Main Event. After two days, 2,614 players have played in the Main Event this year.
Allanon was the sole Team PokerStrategy.com member who took part in Day 1B, but he was accompanied by a whole army of PokerStrategists. Of the 16 who remain at the end of the day, the top 5 chip counts belong to:

- behlinho - 46,000
Allanon finished with 18,075 chips while the rest of the PokerStrategists who made it into Day 2 include zwacke (28,600), overbe (31,000) and philgruissem (33,600). Allanon keeps going despite sickness
Team PokerStrategy.com member Allanon (pictured left) was nursing a flu for most of the day and had a big pile of napkins beside him at the tables. Despite not feeling too well, Allanon still played out the almost 12 hour long day and will return on July 10 to play in Day 2B. Hopefully a few days of rest will allow him to get better.
Allanon's day started relatively well and he had a slightly above average stack of 43,000 chips by the last hour of the day. Unfortunately, he lost an all-in coin flip against a short stack towards the end of the day and eventually finished below the starting stack.
Yoghi survives a close shave
meanwhile, was staring at elimination but instead found himself bagging 82,425 chips at the end of the day. In one of the last few hands of the day, Yoghi found himself all in with K-K against A-K and had just a few outs to avoid elimination after the flop came T Q J.
Fortunately for Yoghi, the turn brought a second T, and then another K was dealt on the river, to keep Yoghi's dreams of Main Event glory alive. His final Day 1 chip count of 82,425 chips should put him amongst the top 10% of players to start Day 2.
Several famous players were also in action on Day 1B. Phil Laak, who spent the day beside winkiac, was among the approximately 1,000 survivors. Others like Johnny Lodden, Gavin Smith, Dan Kelly and Alexander Kostritsyn will also return on Day 2B. On the other hand, several pros including Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, Liv Boeree, Jamie Gold and Ivan Demidov all reached the end of their Main Event journeys.
