WSOP 2010: Team PokerStrategy.com All Set for Main Event
As the Main Event is all set to begin, Daniel Alaei picked up the final championship bracelet on offer before its start, in the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship. In Event #56, PokerStrategist winkiac finished in 58th place.
winkiac (pictured right) was the only PokerStrategist in action today, as he played in Day 3 of the $2,500 No Limit Hold'em event. He started the day in 7th place out of the 73 remaining players.
Unfortunately, winkiac couldn't really get anything going on Day 3 and he was sent to the rails before the dinner break. In the end, he finished in 58th place to cash out for $11,607. cyde and grezstar were the other two PokerStrategists who also cashed in this event.
This event was originally scheduled to end after 3 days of play, but they only managed to play down to the final 9 on Day 3. Italian Salvatore Bonavena is the current chip leader at the start of the final table. He holds over 30% of the chips in play.

Allanon, BongBob, Nazgul (pictured left), RobbieV and ScHnibL0r are all set to take part in the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Championship, better known as the Main Event. Many PokerStrategists are also expected to join them in the biggest poker tournament of the year.
Last year, Joe Cada emerged as the winner of the Main Event and picked up the coveted Main Event bracelet and $8.5 million to go with it. This year, over 5,000 players are expected to attempt to emulate Cada's feat, and forever enshrine their names in poker's history books.
Daniel Alaei wins his third WSOP bracelet
This $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship bracelet win is the richest one yet for Alaei, as he picked up $780,599 for his efforts. Last year, Alaei was the winner in the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship, while he won the $5,000 2-7 Draw Lowball event in 2006. He had also recently finished 7th in the $50,000 Poker Player's Championship at the start of WSOP 2010.
Other notable finishers in the Pot Limit Omaha Championship include Ludovic Lacay in 4th, Alexander Kravchenko in 8th and Jason Mercier in 10th. Crowd favourites Phil Hellmuth and Tom "durrrr" Dwan were both eliminated in Day 3, finishing in 15th and 17th place respectively.
Meanwhile, Huck Seed emerged as the winner in the WSOP Tournament of Champions after defeating Howard Lederer heads-up. Seed picked up $500,000 for his win and you can read more about it, here.
