WSOP 2010: philgruissem Close to First WSOP Cash
PokerStrategist philgruissem made it into Day 2 of Event #30, and is now within sight of his first money finish at the WSOP. Team PokerStrategy.com members Nazgul and Allanon also played in this event.
The $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event that started today attracted a total of 2,394 entries. Team PokerStrategy.com members 
Nazgul and Allanon were joined by quite a number of PokerStrategists, like tonding, nervermore, trader, philgruissem and eddyscharf.
By the end of the day, philgruissem, who is better known with his online poker screen name philbort, was the only PokerStrategist left in the running. He ended his day with 73,200 chips and is well positioned to make his first ever World Series of Poker cash.
Besides these PokerStrategists, Carlos Mortensen, Pierre Neuville, Phil Hellmuth, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and PokerStrategy.com video producer jonathanlittle also played in the event. Mortensen and Neuville are still in with around 100k and 50k chips respectively, while the other three have all been sent to the rails.

philgruissem takes control on the bubble
During the last 30 minutes of play, the bubble for the money and for progressing into Day 2 weighed heavy on the minds of many players. philgruissem took full advantage of that fact and won every pot he entered within that period. His well-timed aggression saw him increase his stack by around 30k chips during that period alone.
Approximately 270 players are left in the event, and the top 243 finishers will be paid a minimum of $2,908. The total prize pool is $3,231,900, with the winner's purse being $581,851. Play will resume in Day 2 with blinds at 600/1,200 and 100 ante.
As this event was going on, several other bracelets winners were also determined. Jeffrey Tebben won the $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event for $503,389, while David Warga picked up the bracelet for the $1,500 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo event, winning $208,682.
