WSOP Academy Ladies Only: Duke In Charge
The WSOP Academy Ladies Only Event this summer will feature the Celebrity Apprentice star and WSOP bracelet winner Annie Duke taking on the role of the instructor. Joe Navarro and Alex Outhred will assist her, with Navarro even hosting a special seminar.
The WSOP Academy Ladies Only Event is returning to Caesars Palace for the third consecutive summer. This time Annie Duke (pictured right) will be in charge of the show, teaching other female poker players how to rise to the throne.
Joe Navarro and Alex Outhred will join Duke in instruction. The three of them will provide a vast number of No Limit strategies, including playing position, aggression, changing gears and calculating odds. Navarro, being a tells expert, will host a special seminar focusing on female non-verbal behaviour.
In 2007, the Academy graduate Sally Anne Boyer got her diploma and then won the ladies event bracelet. Patty Till almost repeated her success in the same event in 2008, ending just short of the bracelet in third place.

Brandon Rosen of Post Oak Productions, the company that runs the WSOP Academy, commented the success of their graduates:
"The success of our grads is testament to the level of instruction Annie Duke and all of our instructors offer our participants. We're expecting to see more WSOP Academy grads at the final tables in 2009."
Space for the WSOP Academy Ladies Only Event is limited, thus an early registration is recommended. The full tuition is $1,699, but only $425 is required to secure yourself a spot, with the rest billed later.
