WSOP Main Event Broadcast Started - Videos Inside

ESPN has just begun the broadcast of this year's WSOP Main Event. The first two episodes feature likes of Gavin Smith, Mike Matusow, Greg Raymer, Annette Obrestad, Liv Boeree and others play for their shot at the world title.

While poker fans and players alike await the kick off of the final table of the WSOP Main Event, ESPN has now started the broadcast of the first eight days of this biggest event of the year.

The first two episodes are now available and they feature numerous past Main Event champions as well as other notable pros taking their shot at the most wanted title in the poker world. Some of the familiar faces in the field included Greg Raymer, Mike Caro, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Annette Obrestad and Liv Boeree.

Matusow and Smith take the spotlight

Amidst the stellar field, it was Mike Matusow (pictured right) and Gavin Smith, two well-known poker pros, who took the spotlight. While they didn't enter the Main Event on the same preliminary day, they did both find themselves seated at the feature table.

Matusow's appearance at the feature table was marked by tough spots, and he found himself up against even tougher opponents . However, "The Mouth" also had to overcome the frustrations the dealer caused him.

While Smith had no reason to be annoyed by the dealer at his feature table, he did come up with a way to needle his opponents. He made a "non-binding verbal agreement" with the players at the table, but the results were perhaps not the ones he was hoping for.
