WSOP commentator Lon McEachern wins WSOP-C Ring

A legend of play by play analysis at the WSOP takes down a major title in the World Series of Poker Circuit.

He has one of the most recognisable voices in poker and today he can call himself a champion too. Legendary WSOP commentator Lon McEachern has won a World Series of Poker Circuit event. 

Best known for providing WSOP Main Event play by play analysis alongside Norman Chad for the last 20 years, we do not get to see much of Lon as a player, but he proved he has the chops last week. 

He won the $400 Seniors Event at the WSOP Circuit Thunder Valley festival in California. 181 players entered at Lon finished victorious after defeating Calvin Norman heads-up.

As well as bagging $15,008, McEachern now boasts a much coveted WSOP-C ring, which is second only to a bracelet in terms of World Series titles. He also has bragging rights over his long-time commentary partner Norman Chad who is yet to win a WSOP title, despite a few deep runs and final tables over the years.
