WSOPC Caesars Palace: DeGreef Leads After Day 1
The WSOP Circuit Championship has attracted big names to Caesars Palace and Jeremiah DeGreef is holding the lead with 152,600 chips.
The World Series of Poker Circuit Championship has reached Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Only 187 players came for the event this year, compared to the same event last year when it attracted 334 players.
As it was with WPT Championship at Bellagio, the number of participants isn't up to the expectations, but numerous poker pros are still present at the tables. However, several stars won't be returning for Day 2 of the tournament.
Scotty Nguyen, Erick Lindgren, Gavin Smith, jonathanlittle and Johnny Chan all hit the rail before the day ended. Meanwhile, David Pham, Michael Mizrachi and Justin Bonomo managed to accumulate well-above average stacks.
The winner of this four-day event will receive $237,692, while the prize pool is close to $900,000 in total. Currently, there are 88 players still alive and top 18 will get paid.
