WSOPE: Hansen Wins Heads-up, Ivey and Blom Progress in Main Event
After three gruelling games in the final match against Jim Collopy, Gus Hansen finally sealed the win in the High Roller Heads-up event to pick up his first ever WSOP bracelet. Meanwhile, Phil Ivey and Viktor Blom both finished Day 3 in the Top 10 of the Main Event.

In the third and final game of the World Series of Poker Europe £10,350 High Roller Heads-up event final, Collopy seized the early initiative and opened up a nice chip lead before Hansen (pictured right) turned the tables in a huge cooler of a hand.
On a board of 
, Collopy had bet the flop and check-called the turn. He checked again on the river and Hansen tanked for some time before announcing all in. Collopy snap called and showed 
for flopped trips, but Hansen had him beat with 
for a rivered full boat.
The match went on for another two hours, with Collopy now playing "catch up" all the time. In the end, Hansen called Collopy's 3-bet shove with 
and Collopy's 
did not improve to give Gus his long awaited WSOP bracelet and £288,409 to go with it. Collopy earned £178,211 for coming in second place.

Another strong showing from Blom and Ivey in Main Event
After 3 days of play, just 22 players remain in the WSOPE Main Event, and Ronald Lee is currently sitting in first place with 947,000 chips. Viktor Blom and Phil Ivey, who both held the chip lead at some point in Day 3, are also in strong positions to make a run for the final table. They finished the day in 5th and 6th place respectively.
The money bubble had busted in Day 3 with Rudy Blondeau playing the role of the unfortunate bubble boy. Freddy Deeb, Yevgeniy Timohsenko and Barry Greenstein did a little better, and all made it past the bubble before making their exits. Others like Roland De Wolfe, Hoyt Corkins, Barny Boatman and Arnaud Mattern remain in the hunt.
