Watch Doug Polk do stand-up on Kill Tony
How did the poker legend perform on one of the most unforgiving comedy stages in the world?
Earlier this month, Doug Polk performed stand-up on one of the biggest comedy shows in the digital world, and it went pretty well.
Last night, Doug Polk's stand-up performance on Kill Tony was released online. If you don't know what Kill Tony is, it's a very popular stand-up show which is part Gong show, part comedy roast. Would-be stand-ups perform one minute of comedy in front of professional comedians, then get roasted brutally if they do poorly.
Here is Polk sharing the whole story; his routine starts about three minutes in:
Let's be fair, Polk did pretty well. I've watched this show many times before, and while he didn't slay like some of the comedians have, he performed well, looked comfortable and got a few laughs. He did way better than a lot of much more experienced comedians have done on the show.
