World Poker Tour's New Title Sponsor: PokerStars
PokerStars has signed a television sponsorship deal for World Poker Tour Season VII, thus becoming the title sponsor and securing exclusive gaming sponsorship of selected broadcasts.
The World Poker Tour has signed the first international television
sponsorship deal for WPT Season VII with the world's largest poker
company, PokerStars.
PokerStars has thus received the title sponsorship, exclusive in-show educational or gaming site and brand integration in all WPT Season VII "original" episodes which are aired in Canada, Germany, Italy and Netherlands with Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten doing the commentary.
In addition, PokerStars and WPTE will collaborate in order to create Spanish/Portuguese-language programs which will feature native commentators for specific territories in Latin America.
The WPT Founder and CEO Steve Lipscomb commented:
