Young Swedish pro wins IPT San Remo
Ramzi Jelassi, a 22 year old poker pro from Sweden was the winner of the PokerStars IPT San Remo. He earned a cool €170,000 with this win.
A total of 370 players signed up for the San Remo leg of the PokerStars Italian Poker Tour. This meant that a total prize pool of over €700,000 would be distributed amongst the winner of the event.
Ramzi Jelassi, a 22 year old Swedish pro flew to Italy for the weekend just to participate in the event, and it was well worth his trouble as he took home the €170,000 first prize purse for his biggest ever tournament win.
Jelassi was the sole non-Italian player at the final table, but the language barrier did not stop him from dominating the table. When asked about his win, "easy game", came the answer.
In the last hand against Andrea Sapere, Sapere's chips were all-in before the flop and it was a race between Sapere's 




After San Remo, the IPT will now move to Nova Gorica, Slovenia. That event will be held from 8-12 October and will have a €2,200 buy-in.
