Zlatan Ibrahimovic turns down PokerStars?
The Swedish PSG striker was allegedly offered a deal worth €3-4 million to represent the site.
According to an article published online earlier this month by French newspaper Le Parisien, Swedish footballing sensation Zlatan Ibrahimovic was offered a massive €3-4 million deal to represent PokerStars, but ended up turning it down at the last minute.
The offer hasn't been confirmed as fact, but given that PokerStars already has several major sporting names on its roster of Zlatan's calibre - including the likes of tennis star Rafael Nadal and Brazil's World Cup hero Ronaldo - it's hardly an unrealistic notion.
It is also unclear as to why, if the deal was indeed put across to him, Ibrahimovic decided to opt-out.
But it would probably come down to the fact he already earns more than €16 million a year from his contract with French side Paris Saint-Germian, along with income from various other sponsors, and simply doesn't seek to attain any further ambassadorial duties.
Did PokerStars really approach Ibrahimovic? If so, why do you think he turned them down? Let us know what you think in the comments!
