iPoker makes changes to improve cash game ecology
New features have been introduced to stop predatory game selection and seating scripts at the cash game tables of the iPoker network.

The iPoker network last month implemented a number of changes to cash games to improve the player experience and prevent predatory practices.
The first of which is a 'global sitout' whereby if you sit out at one cash game table, you will be sat out at all cash game tables after the current hand is completed. This is to prevent the practice of "table camping" which is where a player will sit out at a table waiting for a weaker player to join it, which prevents other players from using the seat.
An anonymous cash game lobby has now been introduced, meaning it is now not possible for third party seating scripts to be used. You will no longer be able to see player names in the lobby or if you open a table to observe it.
Finally, completing this trio of initiatives, player names will not be revealed until you have posted a big blind. This is, again, to stop predatory game selection and also to stop seating scripts from being able to pick a table for a player. You now have to pay a big blind before you can see who you are playing against. In theory a seating script could open a table, pay a big blind, then decide whether to stay, but this would be a very costly practice.

Feedback so far has been positive now that these changes have been in place for more than a week.
