    http://www.husng.com/content/variance-calculator

this is a variance calculator for HU-SNGs, but I am sure that google will find you a calculator for 6max/9max SNGs as well.

Good analysis, funny thing is last night I lost 3 1/2 buy in and I played well ,but I couldn't get anything happening no matter what I did. At the end of the session I looked back at my game and of course out of frustration I probably made also some mistake, not too many, but overall I was happy on how I played and how I handled it. This morning I woke up check my email e found a link to this video and say to myself: "don't worry about yesterday and play a new session".
Anyway I got most of my money back ,not all of it , but enough to make me feel better. So the moral is : accept variance and as long as you were happy with your game keep positive, motivated and you'll get there.

sick, if you win 1 bb/100, you can be loosing even after million hands. How should you feel positive after this? And if you play limits like NL1K its very likely that you will have this winrate at max I guess.

Isn't 80 bb/100 of standard deviation an exagerated number??
  • Ickki

    #39

@#38: No, check your tracker. I have 102bb/100 standard deviation over 40k hands. This is 6max CG.
  • Ickki

    #40

It seems like the variance calculator is down. Is there another site where you can plot this stuff?
  • BogdanPS

    #41

@Ickki: you can google for this tool (ev++ variance calculator) and you can find some links across the web for the standalone application.
  • BogdanPS

    #42

@Rui: No, 80 is actually pretty conservative. It really depends on how loose you play so someone from FR will have a smaller number than someone playing 6 max.
